SKATEPARK RULES FOR USE DURING COVID-19

The Town of Antigonish and the Municipality of the County of Antigonish are glad that the community is able to exercise and get outdoors for their recreation activities. To help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and protect the safety of yourself and others the following rules are now in place for the use of the Antigonish All-Wheels Skatepark:

  • There is to be a maximum of 10 users at the Skatepark at one time.
  • People must maintain a 6 foot/2-meter distance from other users and spectators at the park.
  • Users and spectators who are not part of the same household are not to be gathered in a group larger than 5 on or around any area of the Skatepark.
  • If the skatepark has more than 10 people using it when you arrive, please return home and try again at a later time.

These rules will remain in place until further notice. Regular enforcement of these rules by the Town’s By-Law Officer’s and RCMP will be taking place. The RCMP still have the ability to issue fines to anyone not following social distancing rules. If users cannot follow the rules listed above, the Skatepark will be closed. These rules are also posted at the Antigonish All-Wheels Skatepark.

The Town and County urge residents to please follow the rules so that everyone can continue to enjoy the use of the Skatepark.
