INVITATION TO TENDER – MUNICIPAL BUILDING NEW PARKING LOT

Sealed Tenders plainly marked “Antigonish County Municipal Building, New Parking Lot, Antigonish Co. Nova Scotia” will be received a the Office of the Municipality of the County of Antigonish at 285 Beech Hill Road, BEECH HILL, NS B2G 0B4 (Phone 902-863-1117) until
2:00 PM on Thursday, June 27, 2019.

The work generally includes but is not limited to the provision of materials and labour for the addition of a new parking lot at the Municipality of the County of Antigonish Municipal Office.  Work generally includes removal of sod and topsoil, placement of type 2 and type 1 gravels, asphalt paving, removal of the existing on-site septic system and septic tanks, installation of a sluice box and yard piping, topsoil and hydroseeding and appurtenances.

Tender Documents may be obtained from Strait Engineering Limited, 298 Reeves St, Unit 9, Port Hawkesbury, Phone 902-625-3631 of from the Office of the Municipality of the County of Antigonish at 285 Beech Hill Road, BEECH HILL, NS  B2G 0B4, Phone 902-863-1117 upon payment of a non-refundable fee in the form of a $40.00 cheque made payable to Strait Engineering Limited.

Contract Documents may be examined at the Office of the Municipality of the County of Antigonish and Strait Engineering Limited.

Each tender must be accompanied by a certified cheque in the amount of 10% of the bid amount, or a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the bid amount and a Consent of Surety for the required fifty percent (50%) Performance Bond and fifty percent (50%) Labour and Materials Bond.  In lieu of bonding the Municipality will accept a certified cheque in the amount of 20% of the bid amount as project securities.

The Municipality of the County of Antigonish reserves the right to reject any or all Tenders, not necessarily accept the lowest Tender, or to accept any Tender which it may consider to be in the best interest of the Municipality.  The Municipality also reserves the right to waive formality, informality or technicality in any Tender.
