Please note:

  • Interest at the rate of 5% per annum will be charged on all taxes remaining outstanding after June 30th, 2010.

Low-Income Tax Exemption

  • Under provisions of the Low-Income Tax Exemption Policy, ratepayers may be entitled to a tax exemption of up to $100, provided that total income from the previous year, for all members of the same family residing in the same household does not exceed $17,000. This exemption shall apply only to property of a ratepayer, occupied by him/her as his/her home.
  • The applicant requesting a low-income tax exemption shall be required to complete an Application for Tax Exemption form and must provide last year's income tax return for proof of income.

Payment Options:

  • Payment may be made in person, at the Municipal Administration Centre, 285 Beech Hill Road, using a debit card, credit card, cash, cheque or money order made payable to the Municipality of the County of Antigonish.
  • Payment may be made by mailing a cheque or money order, made payable to the Municipality of the County of Antigonish, to the Municipality of the County of Antigonish, 285 Beech Hill Road, RR 6 STN MAIN, ANTIGONISH NS  B2G 0B4.
  • Payment may be made by telephone, at (902) 863-1117, using a credit card.
  • Payment may be made at most financial institutions and ABM's, or by using their telephone banking services. Contact your financial institution to see if this service is available. Payments made for water must be paid 4 days before due date.
  • Payment may be made through the following financial institutions' internet (on-line) banking services. Click on the links below to access their online banking website:
  • Now you can pay your bills online with Pay by TelPay, using your Chequing/Savings Account from the Financial Institution of your choice.
