Volunteer Recognition

Each year during National Volunteer Week, the Sport and Recreation Commission provides funding for a Provincial Volunteer Awards Ceremony in Halifax, to honour and say THANK YOU to volunteers throughout the Province. Antigonish County Recreation selects one volunteer at random, from the nominations which are submitted, to attend this event which is organized by Recreation Nova Scotia.

Are congratulations in order?

On request, the Warden and Councillors sends congratulatory certificates to County residents celebrating a significant birthday or wedding anniversary.  Congratulatory certificates are available for:

• 25th and 50th wedding anniversaries and up
• 80th birthdays and up

Canada Day Celebration

Each year the Municipality marks our country’s birthday with a family celebration on July 1st. Stay tuned to your website and social media channels for more information.
