Solid Waste Management > Backyard Composting
The Municipality of the County of Antigonish will begin curb/roadside collection of compostable organic material starting in mid-October.
The curb/roadside organics collection program is meant to complement backyard composting by diverting the compostable organic material that cannot be backyard composted.
All compostable organic material is banned from landfill disposal province-wide, however,
the Municipality of the County of Antigonish does accept Leaf and Yard Waste (organic material only), for composting purposes, at the designated area of the Solid Waste Resource Management Facility.
